Leading up to Halloween
What a busy time leading up to Halloween! Enjoy a quick recap:
We came home one afternoon to find two pumpkins sitting on our door step! A surprise gift from our realtor. It was perfect timing as we hadn't made it to the pumpkin patch yet and we needed pumpkins. Logan had a Kindergarten Pumpkin Carving night that he needed a pumpkin ready to carve.
It was an ewie-gooey and fun night cleaning out the pumpkins...even some nakedness was involved.
Logan still has soccer on Saturdays. Mom happened to remember she had the camera with her on this Saturday and took a few pictures of Logan playing, jumping up to give dad a high-five and Sienna watching.
Mom and Dad took off for a night (a concert in Canada -- Foo Fighters) on the day that Sienna got to celebrate Halloween at preschool. She is an Ice Cream Cone... yummy costume! Grandma showed up at preschool so mom could get home to get dad and drive to Canada. Then Grandma and Sienna picked Logan up from school and waited for Grandma Carolyn to come over to stay the rest of the day/night with Logan and Sienna went home to Grandma and Granddad's house.
Grandma Carolyn took Logan to the Kindergarten Pumpkin Carving Night at his school. He had a lot of fun with his new friends and carved the pumpkin we hollowed out a few nights before (the pictures above) and then tossed it as it was a little too gooey. He had a great time with Grandma Carolyn but wondered how his sister was fairing without him. Sienna was happy having all the toys at Grandma and Granddad's to herself (but did miss her big brother).
We went to Logan's school for Costume BINGO Night. Although the 4 of us didn't win, Logan's friend, Ben's family won twice and we all got darn close. Logan participated in the costume parade... he was looking super cute in his Lightning McQueen costume.
Mom's birthday was on October 30th. Looks like we forgot to take any pictures ~ sorry mom! We took her to lunch the day before her birthday where she had yummy pumpkin pancakes. Then we took her to lunch and dinner at Grandma and Granddad's where we let her try to take a nap. We tried to keep as quiet as we could... she said she never fell asleep, but enjoyed have the opportunity to try without us jumping on her or making rooster sounds as we normally do when she shuts her eyes around us. As much as we love our mom and said Happy Birthday to her as often as we could... we had our sights set on the next day!
