February came and went...
Wow. How is it March 1st (or some people like to call it, The Eyes of March) already?! We had such a busy month that we are just now finding time to update our blog here with all the fun stuff we packed into the 28 days.
But before we do... we have to throw out a quick Happy Birthday to our Aunt Kim (yesterday)!
Activity #1 -- Casper Babypants!!! He is one of our favorite musicians and we got to go see him perform. Casper Babypants was fun to sing along with, even if Logan ended up falling asleep during it (he was really tired and still recovering from his illnesses).
Activity #2 -- Super Bowl. Our friend, Carson, and his mom came over to watch the game with us. They got here before the game started, so Dad played some football with us while Mom frosted the cake. One of the best parts about the Super Bowl was the final score! You see, every year our cousins in California have a big Super Bowl party. This is the second year in a row that we haven't made it down. But, we sent some money and had our cousin pick "squares" for us that have to do with the scores of the game. We ended up winning the final score! Yippee!!!
The blackout was kind of cool too as that allowed Carson to stay longer and play! :)
Activity #3 -- Writing Letters. Sienna has been working on he letter sounds and even writing some of the letters. We are all as proud as she looks proud of herself!
Activity #4 -- Valentine's Day. February 14th is, as we all know, Valentine's Day. A day of love and friendship.
Activity #5 -- Pizza Making. One of the fun things at preschool is the monthly excursions, or field trips. While Logan was learning all the things 1st graders learn during school, Sienna got to go have breakfast at a local pizza place. Yes, breakfast!! We met there at 9:30 and got to roll the dough and build mounds of flour. We got a tour of the restaurant and then got to eat pizza. It was really fun.
Activity #6 -- Weekend at Grandma & Granddad's. We had a week off for Mid-Winter Break. No school. We spent the first few days of it at Grandma and Granddad's and Nick came over to stay at their house, too. We played, played and played some more. Then we went to the Reptile Zoo and checked out all the snakes, lizards and other animals. That evening, Mom and Dad were off shopping and found the car had a flat tire. So instead of picking us up at noon the next day as planned, they had to take care of the car so we went on a errand with Grandma, Granddad, Aunt Kris and Nick. We had a special "picnic."
Activity #7 -- Teacher Dorothy's House!!! Mom has been serving as the preschool Chair for two years now and just found out she will be Chair for her final year next school year. Teacher Dorothy had her, Jane (good friend and Vice Chair and Mikey & Katie's mom), and Kerri (good friend and next year's co-Director/Assistant and Bella & Sofia's mom) out to her home for us kids to play and have lunch. It was a nice (non rainy) day so we brought our bikes and had a great time being with our friends and our beloved Teacher Dorothy!
Activity #8 -- Preschool & Tumbling. The preschool had an Open House to help recruit new families to join. We came and helped out for a few hours. Snack was brought out and Logan got to be "Snack Parent" handing out the snacks. Then we went to Sienna's tumbling class. It was fun for Sienna to have Logan come and watch.
Activity #9 -- Vancouver. The end of Mid-Winter break our parents had planned what was to be a fun weekend in the snow. Well, the problem with that is in order to get to the snow place, we had to drive through the mountain pass that was getting hit with A LOT of snow. It wasn't safe to drive there, so plans got changed and instead of heading East we went North... way North... all the way to Canada!! Road Trip :)
Night in a hotel = bed jumping!
2nd best thing about a hotel = swimming pool!

Wow. We were really busy in February! Thank goodness we were all finally healthy. Now hopefully we can get through March healthy, too!
