Special Event
On Friday afternoon my parents pulled me out of preschool a little early so that we could drive over the mountains to Ellensburg. There was a special event happening there that mom and dad and Grandma Carolyn wanted me to be at.
A building at Central was being officially renamed for Dorothy -- my daddy's other mother when he was a kid. So we went over and got some pictures of the really big sign out front of the building the day before the ceremony.
Part of the trip also meant Sienna spent her first night in a hotel room.
Daddy couldn't be at the ceremony because he decided Dorothy would rather have had him spending the day doing his job than be at an event she wouldn't want in the first place. So while daddy was watching the Ducks beat up the Huskies -- even though they have zeros on their helmets -- we were back at Central.
Dad did write something which an old friend named Briggs read at the event. My mommy and my Grandma Carolyn also talked.
And way, way, way too many people were telling me how they knew my dad when he was the same age I am now.
But it was a pretty neat event to be at. And my sister got a really cool hat she can wear this winter.
