Hot Days of Summer

There have been some mighty hot days as summer starts coming to an end --- or is it school coming to a start?!

Here is how we spent what ended up being the last of the stretch of toasty, hot days:

I went to my last day of summer camp: Star Wars Legos at the YMCA.  Then my buddy from Kindergarten, Ben, who happened to also go to the same camp, came home with me to spend part of the afternoon.  What better way to spend a 90+ deg. afternoon than racing each other on the slip 'n slide!

After Ben went home, we headed over to our friends' place, Sofia and Isabella.  They live in an apartment complex with a pool... how cool is that?!  We played in the pool for quite a while than after a warm up in the sun, took on Sofia with another round of pillow fighting (yup... done this with her before... check out the video below) and stayed for dinner.

Then their Dad got home from work and let me sit in his patrol car!  I even got to arrest Sofia and Bella, throwing them in the back seat and driving them off to jail.

For being such a hot day... it sure was a cool day!  :)
