Lights on, but I have to wait

Today, my dad hooked up the lights I helped him string the other day. He worked hard at making sure he didn't overload any one power outlet (my mom has a funny story about this... you'll have to ask her), so we had to do a quick run to the store for more outdoor extension cords. It was worth it! Here's my dad and me showing pride in our work:

I am told, however, that this was just a test. The lights will not go back on until the night after Thanksgiving.

Speaking of Thanksgiving... below is the art I did at preschool today.
