SoCal trip (DISNEYLAND)

The four of us took a trip down to Southern California and had a great time! It was Sienna's first time on an airplane and she did great.

Here are a few of the pictures from our trip (we could post a lot more -- so be glad we selected as few as we did)... ENJOY.

Us in the airport (ignore the junk food we are eating):

Sienna's first time in an airplane. Both of us were paid complements as to how well we did on the flight.

A slide at the Welk's Resort we staid at (Sienna went down the slide with mom guiding her):

All the cousin kids:
From left to right -- Sienna, Mady, Becca, Logan, Hayden

Mady, Sienna and Logan just hanging out:

We went to Legoland and cousin Hayden and his mom, Jenn, came with us. We all had a great time going on rides and seeing the Bob The Builder in 4D show.

This is the first roller coaster Logan ever went on (he rode it for the first time last year). This year Logan rode and rode and rode it again. Sienna and Hayden where too small for it.

Sienna did go on her first amusement ride in Legoland! Here she is with mom ridding the storybook ride:

Logan earned another drivers license this year:

Logan drove mom around in a boat:

There was a new ride that Logan had so much fun on and wanted to do it over and over:

Mini-land was just as neat to look at as it was last year:

We went to Balboa park in downtown San Diego. That place is HUGE.

We went to a Train Museum and the Science Museum. Logan had so much fun exploring the museums.

We met up with Dad's friend, C and his girlfriend, Ashley for dinner. Ashley became mom's new best friend as she handed us 4 free tickets to Disneyland (she is head of promotions at a rock radio station). We had dinner with them at Dave & Busters and had fun playing the video games.

We didn't let those Disney tickets go cold as we went the following day! We got there and had lunch right away and then started on the rides. Actually, we couldn't do anything until Logan went around the statues in front of the castle (where the statue of Mr. Walt Disney himself stands).

Here is Sienna going on her first ride in Disneyland -- Peter Pan:

Mom and Dad were never so proud as when Logan stood under the height measurement sign at Big Thunder Mountain -- he just made the 40" mark and got to go it and Splash Mountain.

Once Sienna woke up from her nap, we all went on the (new to mom and dad) Winnie the Pooh ride:

Then Sienna and mom went on the Haunted Mansion ride. On all the rides Sienna went on she was quiet and taking in everything she saw. As soon as the rides where done she would chatter as tho she was telling us all about the ride. She was especially chatty after the Haunted Mansion ride:

Yup. We did It's A Small World ride, too. Mom and dad were happy to see the minor changes they made to it -- they added characters from some of the Disney Movies -- like in the Hawaii section they have Lilo & Stitch -- in the USA section they have Woody, Jessy and Bullseye from Toy Story 2.

The last ride was the train. As you may be able to tell, it is dark. Yup. We shut down the park and Logan could have kept going!

We thought about finding a hiding spot to stay in the park longer, but instead we got back to the car and in our PJs and passed out on the way back to our resort.

We go down to the San Diego area every year at this time (well, with the exception of when Logan had the Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease) to attend cousin Jodi's Super Bowl Party. Dad gave us some cash to buy squares to help keep the game interesting. We didn't win. Bummer.

Here are a few shots of us cousins as our trip comes to a close:

We really had a great time in California. The weather could have been a bit warmer, but no one is really complaining. It sure was nice to hear how proud mom and dad were of us on every leg of our trip. We can't wait until our next vacation!
