Losts to Update: From SF to PV to Cars to 2 to Bike to The 4th

This is going to be probably one of the longest posts we have ever done! We have had a very busy 2-1/2 weeks. So enjoy this presentation of pictures and commentary :)

June 16-19 San Francisco, Ca
We flew to San Francisco around dinner time on Thursday night and Sienna decided to take the opportunity when we got to the hotel to practice and perfect jumping with both feet. She did it! If you listen really close to the video you can hear her practice counting, too. At the time she could count to ten. By the end of our trip, she could get up to 20! :)

We stayed for two days in SF and got around with public transportation. We took the BART into the city, the Ferry to Jack London Square in Oakland, and an old fashion Streetcar around the city.

We met up with a friend/co-worker of Dad's in Jack London Square for lunch and then had some time to kill before our ferry back to SF. We walked around the Square, had some ice cream and played like kids near the ferry dock.

The next day we met up with our friends Andrea, Richard and Lucas. They live in Sacramento and came to the City just to hang out with us. The last time we saw them was in Feb of 2009 before Sienna was even born (on our cruise to Mexico). It was great to see them, just too short.

We took the BART, had lunch at the Pier and ice cream at Ghirardelli. We took the streetcar back to the BART station and had dinner at our hotel.

Andrea, Richard and Lucas: Thanks for spending the day in San Francisco with us! We hope you can come visit us sometime soon. :)

June 19-24 Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Greetings from...

We boarded a plane in San Francisco that flew us all the way to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! We stayed at the Paradise Village Beach Resort & Spa. This was Logan's second time at this resort, last time he was just a few weeks older than Sienna is now! This is Sienna's first time in Mexico.

We were not alone in Mexico. There were 21 members to our party, 9 of them were kids like us ranging from 6 months old to Logan. Most of them were our cousins, two of the families were friends that fit right in our crazy family.

We took a lot of pictures, but here are some key ones that highlight our time:

NO!! We didn't just hang out in bed! We spent a lot of time at the pool. Logan would have continued to go down the water slide if he had any choice in the matter... one day he went down at least 25 times!

If we weren't at the pool... you could find us on the beach! Even with some of the rain coming in from a category 1 hurricane didn't stop us from getting dirty. Logan and Dad spent a lot of time boogie boarding. Mom even took a few turns when Dad came up for air. Sienna enjoyed feeling the sand being sucked out from under her feet by the current on the fist day... after that it was all sand and no ocean time for her! Several times Mom would say to Sienna, "your preschool teachers would be so proud!" Just look at the pictures and you will see why!

One night we went to the Western theme night for dinner with some of the group. After our yummy all you can eat dinner we headed upstairs for the show. When we got there they started doing line dancing and Logan and Carson jumped right in! Check out the video. Logan ain't to shabby!

The rest of that evening was fun watching the interactive show. Logan even won some Mexican money that he got to spend on Cars 2 toys when we got home. Logan, Mady, Carson and baby Carson all danced the night away... Sienna would have had she not been worn out from all the fun of the day and fell asleep on Mom.

Our last night was spent with the whole group at dinner having loads of silly fun. Logan was a busy guy and Sienna was full blast cute!

The next morning was packing and saying our good-byes! Even Landon gave a sweet good-bye as we headed back to the airport to fly back home. Our trip was a lot of fun... we just wish we could have stayed a few days longer.

Here are just two more pictures ~ Hasta luego!

June 25 Cars 2
Although we would have like to stay longer in Mexico... Logan will admit he was excited to get home. The day after we got back, Mom and Dad took Logan out to lunch and then to see Cars 2. Grandma and Granddad surprised him that morning with a Cars 2 t-shirt to wear to the movie. He got to see it a second time the following weekend with Nick and Grandma & Granddad. Lucky guy!

Now the wait begins for Cars 3 :)

June 30 Birthday Party
We celebrated Sienna's 2nd birthday with a Little Mermaid birthday party. Several of her friends and family enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs along with cake and ice cream, of course.

Sienna changed into her Little Mermaid outfit in time for the cake and to open her gifts.

July 1 Sienna's 2nd Birthday
Sienna turned 2 on Friday, July 1st. We spent the morning watching Dad and Granddad put in a new toilet as our old one was leaking. Since it was her special day, Sienna got to be the first to sit on the new toilet!

Sienna had fun playing with some of her new toys.

After a snack dinner outside, we piled in the car and went to the mall for an ice cream treat!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SIENNA!

July 4 The 4th of July
This story actually begins on July 2nd when we went to our friend, Tyler's birthday party. While at the party, Logan got on Tyler's bike that had NO training wheels. Everyone there was surprised to hear that was his first time on a bike without training wheels! Mom regrets forgetting the camera at home to capture that first time ride. After the party, Logan was dropped off at Grandma and Granddad's for a weekend with Nick (they saw CARS 2).

One the 4th of July, we picked up Logan and bought fireworks on our way home. After we got home... guess what Logan did?! The training wheels came off his bike and away he went! He is still working on perfecting it... but you would never guess this was just his second time on a bike without training wheels. Mom and Dad were beaming with pride :)

After practicing on his bike, it was time for Logan to test out some of the fireworks. He did his racer car, the parachute launcher and of course, the all time favorite: pop its!

After Sienna got up from her nap, we still had time for some fun before we headed off for our 4th of July spectacular. Sienna swung with Mom and proved she was ready for a big wheel.

Then it was time to go! Our friends, Ethan and Tristan invited us over to spend the 4th of July evening with them and their family. We started off with dinner, bubbles and playing in the sand box.

Then it was time for the fireworks! Of course it wasn't quite dark enough, so we stated with pop its and sparklers. Sienna even tried some of it.... which was all fun until she touched the sparkler and burnt a small spot on her finger. She is still holding it up and saying, "firework - hot!"

Julie, Grant, Ethan & Tristan: Thanks for letting us come celebrate the 4th of July with you! We had a great time and felt like we were a part of the family.

July 6 The Sun
The sun has been shinning lately and we have been enjoying it! Logan got out the slip 'n slide and had no problem figuring out how to do it over and over. We have been having lunch and dinner outside, whether at the park or in our backyard.

Today Home
We are home today, having a pj day and cartoon day. The sun is hiding and its been sprinkling. But that's okay. After looking over this post we realize WOW... we have been busy. No wonder we are all fighting colds and exhausted. We need a break. And today is it.

Signing off for now (our fingers hurt!)

~ Logan and Sienna
