4th of July
Yesterday was the birthday of our country's Independence... so I showed everyone how independent I have become.
My parents and I went to a family friend's home on a lake where I got run up and down a grassy hill all day. Nothing could have been more fun.
Here is what I got to look at all afternoon:
My dad let me look at up close at the lake, but to Jack's dislike, I never did get to touch it:
Basically my entire family was there (minus a few important people) including my cousin, Nick. We got to spend time hanging out with our Grandma:
My Aunt Kim told me that Nick started crawling the day before (on his 8th month birthday) so I gave him a kiss to congratulate him:
After an afternoon of fun in the sun was coming to and end and the fireworks were getting ready to go off, my grandma gave me a sponge bath to clean all the sunscreen off:
With some clean clothes on (including pajama bottoms) I was contained to the playard:
But the fireworks kept me distracted from the fact I was no long free (but isn't this the land of the free?):
When the big show from the middle of the lake (basically right in front of us) started, my mom took me out of the playard... so I forgave her.
I know this was a lot of pictures, but it was such a fun day and I am such a busy boy. Hope you had a great 4th of July.

I like lots of pictures :)
I am in love with this little boy! How cute is he? I think his Mommy is so clever to keep the blog up to date too. And love the captions! Keep them coming. I can't tell you what I went thru to just post this note. I am now a Blogger, I suppose.
Love, Aunt Mary (the unofficial aunt in sunny California)
