2010 Olympic Games

Yesterday, my mom, dad and his friend Scott, jumped into the car and drove to Canada for the 2010 Olympic Games! (Sienna stayed with Grandma and Granddad)

Traffic was no problem, nor the Boarder. We got to Vancouver, BC by lunchtime. I had a great time exploring the streets of Vancouver taking in all the Olympic "stuff." The only thing that wasn't great was my nose! I have a cold and had to blow my nose ever few minutes. It didn't help that the wind was blowing making the cold air even colder.

Below are the pictures we took of our Olympic Experience. Scott took some great pictures, too. We are hoping he will send them to us and when he does, I will add them to the pictures below.

Rubbing the belly for good luck (at a coffee shop we went to after lunch for hot cocoa in hopes to warm up):

I can be an Olympic skier:

We are really here! Vancouver 2010

The Olympic Flame:

OUCH! That flame is hot!

In a street bobsled (I wonder what it would be like to ride a real bobsled down an icy racetrack?!):

I got a bit unruly walking around downtown... but hey, I'm three!

Every where you looked you could see Canadian Pride:

I got to get in on the hockey action:

Here is one of our 2010 Winter Olympic Hockey Tickets -- Sweden vs. Germany:

Scott is a Sweden fan. They won!! 2-0:

During the 2nd period, my mom and I went and explored the arena:

After the game we hoped back in the car, stopped for dinner, changed into my pjs and drove back over the border. I was asleep about 15 minutes after we got back into the U.S.

It was a fun day... one that I will always remember and can officially say, "I have been to the Winter Olympics!"

Next week is Sienna's turn. She is going to a Curling event with mom, dad, Granddad and his friend Jack. She is going to have so much fun!

So awesome, Logan! Sorry to miss you ... I've been at curling. Big hugs from the ice! You will look back on this with fond memories one day as I do from Expo '86 when I was 11.
