Giddy Up for G.G.

Yesterday, my parents, sister, Aunts and cousins took G.G. out to lunch and to the Emerald Downs Horse Track for some good old horse racing! You see, G.G. really likes the horses and betting on which horse she thinks is going to win. My Great-Granddad and G.G. used to go to the track all the time long before anyone thought of me (and probably before anyone thought of my mom). G.G. just had a birthday at the beginning of the month -- so her grandkids and great-grandkids decided to take her to the tracks for her gift. Despite the misty and sometimes raining weather, G.G. had a great time and I think (but not positive) she walked away with more money than she came with. Not bad.

Nick and I had fun checking out the horses.

We had a good view from our seats... for most of the races we were on the start/finish line.

I had fun looking though the program reading the horses names. There were some funny ones like Sassy Britches, Snooty Gal, Larrythestableguy and the last horse I bet on was Bold Officer.

We stuck around for one more race after my Aunts took off. There is A LOT of time between races making the day a bit long... we made it through 1/2 the races for a total of 5 races.

I got to go right next to the track and watch the horses race by.

Sienna and I even got to pretend to be Jockeys.

Sienna and I kept ourselves entertained on the way home... in our own ways.

It sure was fun watching the horses race. Can we go again?
