Boise Road Trip

On the evening of June 4th after we ate our dinner, went potty and put on our shoes, Dad and I gave good-bye kisses to Mom and Sienna. We got in the car and started our journey to Boise, Idaho.

We stopped about 4 hours into our drive and crashed in a hotel for the night. We got what was probably the last room as it has a single bed next to the elevator. It didn't bother me at all, but it took Dad some time to fall asleep. At 5AM I woke up and started saying, "Dad! Dad! Come on Dad, let's go!"

At last we arrived in Boise to visit with cousins Sheldy and Wyatt (and Rowdy, Ted and Shelby). Boy was I happy when we went over to Wyatt's Granddad's place (Shelby) and got to swim in the pool.

After playing around for some time in and out of the pool, we headed back to Wyatt's place to play some games before getting ready for bed. We got to sleep in their camper next to their house ~ that was neat.

Are you wondering where my Mom and Sienna were this whole time? Sienna was at Grandma and Granddad's and my Mom was at a Board retreat for the Preschool. She is Class Coordinator for the Toddlers next year (Sienna's class) which puts her on the Preschool Board. They had a two day retreat over the weekend when Dad and I headed to Boise.

On Sunday evening, Mom and Sienna caught a flight to Boise. While we were filling our time waiting for them to arrive, Dad took me shopping! We bought me my first set of real golf clubs! I also rode around on Wyatt's scooter learning tricks to show my Mom when she got there.

The day after my Mom and Sienna showed up, Dad and Rowdy went golfing and we just hung around the house watching cartoons, playing Leapster, reading books, playing with Wyatt's toys and playing outside. Sienna helped Sheldy make lunch.

After Dad and Rowdy got back from golfing, we went back to Shelby's (Wyatt's Granddad) and jumped in the pool. Sienna got in to! That was her first time in a pool - ever! She really liked it.

The next day was beautiful. We packed a lunch and took off for the Zoo. I had fun looking at the animals, but even more fun playing on the pretend animals.

Later that evening, Wyatt had baseball practice at a local school. While Sheldy and Mom went to the gym for a kickboxing class, Sienna, Dad and I watched Wyatt's practice (we also played on the playground). Go Wyatt!!!

The next day was our last day in Boise :(

Mom got everything pretty much packed up while Sienna was napping. Once she was up, we went out to lunch and then went bowling. Although not one of us got a strike, we had a lot of fun.

We left that afternoon at 4PM on the dot. We got as far as Baker City and had dinner at a really cool restaurant that had a model train ridding the rails around the inside of the dining area. They also had happy-face french fries!

We kept on our road trip all night long. Sienna and I eventually fell asleep and from what my parents told us the next morning, we got home just after 1AM on June 10th.

Since getting home we have been busy unpacking, cleaning and oh yeah, getting ready for Rowdy to get here! Rowdy flew in late Thursday night to spend the weekend with us. On Sunday, he is going to become Sienna's Godfather.

Sienna has been busy too. Today when my Mom went to check that she was napping, she found her standing in her crib!

It sure was a fun week. I'm so glad I told my parents months ago that I wanted to go on a road trip to Boise to see my cousin Wyatt.

I wonder where I can convince my parents to drive to next?!
