Hawaii 2010
Yup. It's true. After Sienna's birthday party we got on an airplane and almost 6 hours later, we landed in Honolulu, Oahu, Hawaii.
We got to our hotel and went to bed. In the morning we had our breakfast, checked out of the hotel and picked up Aunt Kim and Nick as they flew in that morning. After doing some grocery shopping, we were finally able to check into our resort: Marriott's Ko Olina Beach Club.
We took A LOT of pictures. It was really hard to select "the best" from the lot, but we tried and posted them below. We will not comment on all the pictures, but we will for a select few. To see more pictures, visit: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2064432&id=1511440836&l=02cd923748. My mom will probably add more to the facebook album once we get pictures from Aunt Kim, so be sure to look again in a week or so.

We hope you get from these pictures that we really enjoyed our time. As Logan told mom today, "I want to go back to Hawaii tomorrow!"
We spent most of our time at the beach and pool. When we weren't waiting for the rain to go away or our parents weren't dragging us somewhere... the beach or pool is where you would find us.
Here are some cute, random pictures of Sienna (she was the birthday girl, after all):
Dad took us kids to the Waikiki Aquarium while mom and Aunt Kim enjoyed some time away at a spa. As you can see, Nick had a really great time!
Sienna fell asleep on dad at the pool. Later that week she fell asleep on the lounge chair with mom while it was raining.
We celebrated Sienna's 1st birthday at Ferrell's. She loved being sung to but wasn't too happy when they put the ice cream in front of her with a candle. With a little bit of help from mom, she ate some of the ice cream.
Logan got a special treat after Sienna's birthday celebration. The mall Farrell's was in had dinosaurs and even a train ride. He rode the "Dinosaur Train!"
Sienna passed out on the way back to the resort. What a birthday!
We all went to the Dole Pineapple Plantation and got lost in the Maze! We even got to ride a train into the plantation to see how pineapples grow. Aunt Kim discovered she really likes the taste of pineapples after sampling a bite as we got off the train!
A few more pictures of Sienna sleeping "on the go!"
On the evening of July 3rd, Aunt Kim and Nick flew back home and we stayed at our resort for one more night. Soon after getting back to the resort, a brush fire ignited not too far from our hotel. My parents were happy they were pretty much packed and ready to go should they evacuate the resort. Luckily, it didn't get to that.
That next morning, we said good-bye to our resort and headed to Honolulu, but first stopped for ice cream and watched the historic Hawaiian train go by all decked out for the 4th of July.
As we drove into Waikiki my parents couldn't believe their eyes! Right in front of us was a guy on a moped with a rat tail. No, really... look close... that's a real rat hitching a ride on that guy's shoulder!
We checked into our final hotel and then walked around Waikiki enjoying the sites and excitement on the 4th of July. By night fall, we found our way to the beach and found the best seat in the house to watch the fireworks. We really lucked out and got an awesome view. Even Sienna was excited... she couldn't take her eyes off the fireworks.
And that's how it ended. After the last firework lit up the sky, we treked back to our hotel, showered off and crashed for the night. Mom and dad got us up WAY TO EARLY (5AM) to make our way to the airport.
After dinner at Grandma and Granddad's we made it home in time for bed. Sienna showed her excitement to sleep in her own bed by climbing the stairs for the first time! She had been practicing her walking in the pools and by pushing her stroller while we were in Hawaii (she isn't walking yet, but is getting really close)... not sure where she was figuring out how to climb steps!
Mom and Dad... please take us to Hawaii again! Please, Please!! We promise to be good.
